Purpose:
The Armored Driver/Guard is a member of the Armored Services department and reports to the Operations Manager. He/she is responsible for picking up and delivering valuables between the branches, to and from our vault or other vaulted areas, in a safe and timely manner. He/She is also responsible for safeguarding any and all items entrusted to his/her care. In addition he/she performs all other related duties as assigned.
Essential Duties:
· Picks up and signs for valuables at our vault or other specified location.
· Delivers all valuables entrusted to his/her care and obtains a signature for all valuables.
· Picks up and signs for, at branches and retail locations any valuables entrusted to his/her care.
· Delivers all valuables entrusted to his/her care back to our vault or other specified locations, and obtains a signature for said items.
· Assigned drivers for each route will stay inside the vehicle and keep guard in visual contact.
· Assigned guard will cause to be delivered from the armored vehicle to the designated location any and all valuable and receive signature from recipient.
· Guard shall maintain all paperwork pertinent to the cargo.
· Driver shall report any deficiencies in vehicle (record on drivers log).
Job Requirements:
· Must possess a current Act 235 certification.
· Must possess a valid Pennsylvania drivers license.
· Must have a proven safe driving record
· Ability to adapt and react to stressful situations.
· Ability to maintain confidential information.
· Must have through knowledge of NexTier armored policies and procedures.
· Must be dependable and reliable.
· Ability to work well with people.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Education Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
· One year of work experience.
· One to three years driving experience.
