NexTier Responds to TJX Companies' Security Breach on Visa Check Cards
NexTier Bank recently learned that a merchant, The TJX Companies, Inc., which operates Marshalls and T .J. Maxx stores in our area, had Visa Check Card data compromised.*

NexTier Bank has been actively monitoring the activity on the debit (check cards) of all of our customers. If NexTier determines that your number was one of the cards in the merchant's system at the time of the intrusion, we will take the following immediate action:
1. Lower the point-of-sale limit and ATM limit, to $250. You may still use your card.
2. NexTier service representatives will be calling all owners of cards that may be affected.
Please also note that in the rare event fraud does occur, as a Visa cardholder, you are protected with Visa's Zero Liability policy, which means you pay nothing for unauthorized purchases on your account.
